The "No-Go" List: Our Skin-Safety Standards

At PureOnSkin, we believe that what we leave out of our products is just as important as what we put in. The modern textile industry is filled with "hidden" irritants, cheap synthetics and harsh chemical finishes that save money for big corporations but cause havoc for people with eczema, psoriasis, and reactive skin. To protect your skin, we have a strict "No-Go" List. You will never find these irritants in our collections.

No Polyester or Nylon (Synthetics)

The Problem: These are essentially plastics. They trap heat, prevent your skin from "breathing," and create a breeding ground for bacteria and sweat-induced rashes.

Our Solution: We exclusively use 100% Natural Fibers (Cotton, Silk, Linen, Bamboo) that allow air to circulate and naturally regulate your body temperature.

No Formaldehyde-Based Finishes

The Problem: Many "Wrinkle-Free" or "Easy-Iron" clothes are treated with formaldehyde resins to keep them from creasing. This is a major trigger for Contact Dermatitis.

Our Solution: We embrace the natural texture of our fabrics. Our linen and cotton may wrinkle gracefully, but they will never contain toxic anti-crease chemicals.

No Harsh Chemical Dyes

The Problem: Low-grade synthetic dyes can leach into your skin when you sweat, causing itching and long-term sensitivity.

Our Solution: We prioritise Reactive Printing and Eco-Safe Dyes. These processes bond the colour to the fibre at a molecular level, ensuring no chemical residue is left behind to irritate your skin.

No Friction-Heavy Weaves

The Problem: Roughly woven fabrics (like cheap wool or low-quality polyester) create "micro-scratches" on the skin's surface, leading to inflammation.

Our Solution: We select ultra-smooth weaves, such as our 40S Air-Jet Satin and Long-Fibre Mulberry Silk, to minimise friction and protect your skin’s natural moisture barrier.

No Scratchy "Plastic" Thread

The Problem: Many brands use cheap, monofilament nylon thread for seams that feel like tiny needles against sensitive skin.

Our Solution: We pay close attention to Seam Integrity, ensuring our stitching is as soft as the fabric itself, providing a "second-skin" feel.
